11) Soul in the body

Pushpe gandham tile tailam kashthe(a)gnim payasi ghritham,
Ikshau gudam tatha dehe pasyatmanam vivekatah.

Translation:
As fragrance is in a flower, oil in sesame seed, Fire in wood, butter in milk
; And sweetness in sugar-cane, So soul in the body one should seek.

Janma mrityum hi yatyeko bhunaktyekah subhasubham,
Narake ca patatyeka eko yati parangatim

Translation:
Alone everyone experiences birth and death, Alone everyone stands upto good and bad actions; Alone everyone gains the Heavens.
