Reversal Approach Followed in Kayakalpa
At Kayakalpa through Agniashaya Prasadana Kriya, Lepa Marjana Kriya, Dhatwagni vardana Kriya and other supportive treatment programmes, the disturbed Kapha and Medas is restored to its normalcy. Practising these kriyas will help to enhance the function of the pancreas, increase adequate insulin secretion reduces the excess production of medas, eliminates the excess kapha present on the neuro receptors and blood stream. The kriyas leads to activation of the dhatwagni in the body thereby helps in the better management of the diabetes.

General Dietary Guidelines
Avoid excess intake of sweets, carbohydrates, and dairy products. Take more fresh vegetables and bitter herbs. Other useful foods include: roasted or fried barley, corn flour, light, bitter vegetables, barley porridge, wheat and rice in moderate quantity and herbs like gudmar, triphala, musta, cardamom, fenugreek, or coriander. Triphala, turmeric, karela, guduchi can also be used to manage diabetes in a better manner.
Sample Recipe
Green Gram Sundal (Pacchai payaru)
Soak the legume for 2-3 hours, boil till it’s cooked and decant the water. Take a pan and put 2-3 tsp of sesame oil. When it is heated, add mustard seeds, black gram, cumin seeds, asafoetida, green chilies and curry leaves. When the mustard has popped, add the cooked legumes and rock salt, mix it well. Finely chopped unripe mango also improves the taste.
Green gram sundal reduces pitta and kapha. Produces only little Vata.
This is best among the legumes for diabetic patients.
Suggested Home remedies
Mix and grind seeds of Fenugreek (Methi) 100 gm, turmeric 50 gm, Dakhni Mirch (white pepper). Take one teaspoon of this powder with a glass of milk twice daily. Alternately, immerse and soak one teaspoon of fenugreek seed in water. Take this in the morning, with water or with milk.

• Surya namaskar
• Ardha matsyendrasana
• Pavanamukthaasana
• Pashchimottanasana
• Mayurasana
• Ojovardhaka Pranayama
Note : All these above mentioned asanas should be done with the doctors guidance.
Meditation
Sit on the chair comfortably with your spine straight.
Be aware of the neuro-receptors (inside the inner wall of the arteries), brain and pancreas. Visualise a very good coordination between them and mentally affirm that they are functioning optimally and request them to keep the sugar level normal. Continue to observe this process for a few minutes
