What is Planetary Transit & How Does It Affect You?
In Vedic Astrology, planets are not just celestial bodies but active forces that are in constant motion, influencing all aspects of life. Similarly, when a planet moves out of one sign and enters another zodiac sign, it is termed as Transit or Gochar, and its energies impact, either directly or indirectly, on certain aspects of life. This may be good and positive at times or can be challenging, but these are not typical and have their own remedies. It is only your birth chart and planetary transits (Dashas) that decide if the transit will be good or bad for you.
Moreover, not all planets have the same speed. The Moon (Chandra) changes signs in a few days, while Saturn moves slowly in one sign for more than two years. Moreover, planets do not move ahead; sometimes, they seem to move backwards. That is called Vakri Graha or Retrograde Motion. Reverse motion shows the planet turning its effect inside, making it more reflective and intense for the concerned individuals. These Grahas are taken into consideration while making the transit chart.
Generally, the slower planets, which are Jupiter (Guru), Saturn (Shani), and the lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu, influence the overall theme of life with very strong, karma-related effects. Simultaneously, the faster planets Mars (Mangal), Venus (Shukra), Mercury (Budh), and the Moon influence the changes occurring over the course of days, including the change in our thinking and surroundings.
However, not all of the planets will necessarily have a big impact on your life. This will depend on your personal horoscope, and certain ones may have a barely perceptible or even undetectable effect.
Key takeaways: Transits always operate together, but their importance is always determined in the context of your birth chart and the relevant period (Dasha). What may be a promotional factor for a particular individual could be a challenge for another.

Planetary Transit in 2027
Sun Transit 2027
In Vedic astrology, the Sun is called Suryadev, which means our soul, core identity, and that binding force that gives us vitality. Every 28 to 30 days, when the Sun changes zodiac signs, every other zodiac sign feels the change! The shift of the Sun ushers in a new beginning that reaches our sense of identity, confidence, and health.
We normally consider the Sun as a friendly planet, and entering into a different sign of the zodiac often carries with it great positive and energetic vibes. It impacts our self-esteem, our deepest desires, and our well-being, at the same time directing us toward a more confident and stress-free life.
Suryadev’s light brings clarity and strength to every soul in every situation.

Moon Transits 2027
The Moon, or Chandradev, is our closest celestial body. According to Vedic astrology, Chandra is the fastest-moving planet– it cruises through each zodiac sign in approximately 2.5 days. Within one month, the Moon touches all twelve signs–causing them to continually fluctuate.
It can be put this way: the Moon is the lord of the mind, emotions, and inner world. It reflects our mood, nurtures creativity, and shapes our psychological well-being. When the Moon is strong and at the right place, we often feel calm, imaginative, and emotionally balanced. It can instill kindness and nurturing characteristics in an individual.
However, a weak Moon in a birth chart raises challenges. It can describe turmoil emotionally, sensitivity, or times of uncertainty. The Moon reminds us of life’s flowing nature that is constantly in change, yet circular.

Mercury Transit 2027
According to Vedic Astrology, Mercury is considered the planet of intelligence, wisdom, and good communication. This planet takes approximately 14 to 30 days in one particular zodiac sign. Even though Mercury is considered to be the planet of intelligence, its effects may make a person mischievous. Sometimes the person can even be talkative. Well, along with your mischievous nature, Mercury provides you with extroverted qualities too.
Owing to the influence of Mercury, a person’s reasoning power is good. The person stands out from the crowd. However, in adverse conditions, the adverse effects of Mercury are also seen.

Venus Transit 2027
In Vedic Astrology, Venus is regarded as a divine teacher and a planet of grace. It governs the nicer things in life-beauty, romance, the arts, marriage, and even our comforts-travel and vehicles.
Venus possesses some special wisdom, knowing both material happiness and deep spiritual connections. Strong Venus in a birth chart blesses one with a caring personality, a natural charm, and an extraordinary capacity to make people happy. It bestows talent in creative or athletic expression, grace in movement, and enthusiasm for pleasures in life.
Venus remains in a single zodiac sign for 23 days to 2 months. An essential astrological fact is that Venus is always situated in distances of two signs from the Sun. Its power reflects the Sun in a personal way, influencing relations, beliefs, and longings with the same directness that the Sun influences our identity and life.

Mars Transit 2027
Mars, also called the Red Planet, is a known fiery planet in our solar system. It is very much associated with ambition, courage, and masculine energy. The planet of red color, Mangal, is also associated with leadership and drive, the spirit of competition.
Mars stays in one zodiac sign for about 1.5 months and covers all twelve zodiac signs in almost 1.5 to 2 years. And each transit affects the zodiac signs differently, inspiring actions at whatever place it happens to fall.
This planet initiates an individual to take risks, act promptly, and move forward in their career if their Mars is in a good position. If in concord, it generates not only aspiration but success as well.

Jupiter Transit 2027
Jupiter is known as Brahaspati, which literally means Devguru, the divine teacher. Many people consider this planet to be a source of growth and prosperity in almost every circumstance. If one is treading the path of truth and morality, then Jupiter tends to assist.
It takes Jupiter 12 years to travel through all 12 signs, roughly 1 year per sign. It is a slow-moving planet, so the long-term insight and opportunity are brought forth by its motion.
Jupiter is the planet of prosperity, higher learning, spirituality, and education, which facilitates mental and physical growth. It infuses the ability to communicate better through knowledge expansion, even bringing order and clarity to one’s thoughts. Saturn Transit 2027
According to Vedic Astrology, Saturn, or Shani, is the planet of justice and karma and moves extremely slowly. It takes approximately 29.5 years to complete a round through all twelve zodiac signs, staying in one sign for about 2.5 years. Therefore, its influence is strong and long-lasting in each sign.
As a fact, Saturn is not considered to be an easy teacher. It imparts discipline, responsibility, and ethics even though life gets tough– occasionally bringing difficulties, delays, or abrupt changes. This planet not just tests you but trains you for life exams.
Even though Saturn is considered to be a malefic planet, its transition is not always terrible. If Saturn is respected and honored, it builds a life of truthfulness and character and thereby stands as a more enduring foundation; patience is rewarded.

Rahu Transit 2027
Rahu, formed when the Sun and the Moon meet, is one of the two shadow planets in Vedic astrology. Unlike other planets, Rahu is not a physical planet or does not have a body of its own-the reason it’s called a shadow. However, it does have a strong effect on an individual’s birth chart.
Rahu is affiliated with problematic energies. The houses that Rahu is placed in the birth chart are related to strong speech, disorder, unexpected hardships, health problems, and they use very unconventional paths in life.
Generally, Rahu is capable of taking one away from worldly affairs. However, Rahu can yield great worldly power when placed properly, conferring authority and the capability of influencing public opinion through speech or media. The effect is that the native’s thinking becomes somewhat different from that of other common people. Rahu moves differently from other planets in its orbit. In Vedic tales, Rahu is said to cause solar and lunar eclipses by appearing to swallow the Sun and Moon.

Ketu Transit 2026
Ketu is the south node of the Moon and is the juncture where the path of the Sun and the Moon cross. It is one of the two shadow planets in the system. The tail of the dragon is another term for Ketu, and just like its cycles, it can bring both auspicious and challenging times in life.
This shadow is known to impact the mental and emotional health of a person, sometimes with deep insights or with internal turmoil. It can cause a push-pull with material wealth; there may be abundance, but also a tendency for detachment or self-centeredness. Similar to Rahu, Ketu can influence judgment and bring in periods of confusion and illusion.
Ketu is a slow-moving planet, remaining in each sign for approximately 1.5 years. Its energy pushes you to seek beyond the obvious, investigating the spiritual or invisible, and encouraging unconventional and intuitive thinking.
