Welcome to the World of Chinese Astrology
The Chinese zodiac, or “shangxiao,” is a repeated 12-year cycle, with an animal and its renowned attributes depicted each year. The 12 animals in the Chinese horoscope are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
The Origin of Chinese Astrology
Chinese astrology has been elaborated almost 5000 years ago during the Zhou dynasty (1046–256 BC) and flourished during the Han dynasty (2nd century BC to 2nd century AD). It is closely related to Chinese philosophy. However, it is associated with the theory of three harmonies of heaven, earth, and water.
The order of Chinese signs of astrology is linked with the Chinese Zodiac’s most famous legend: the Jade Emperor Race. As the storey says, the Chinese Emperor had a contest for the lucky animals to be added to the calendar. In the first year of the 12-year period, the first-placed rat wins and claims the victory, and so on.

Apart from the aspect mentioned above, the central part of this Chinese astrology includes the balance theory of Yin-Yang, Wu Sing teachings, and five elements – metal, wood, fire, earth, and air.
Luckiest and Unluckiest Zodiac Signs in Chinese Astrology
It is not convenient to identify the luckiest and unluckiest zodiac signs as each sign has its advantages and disadvantages.
But, according to Chinese Culture, the Goat sign is considered to be the unluckiest sign. There is a belief that the people born in the Goat years are supposed to be followers instead of leaders. At the same time, the Dragon sign is considered to be the luckiest sign. The top 5 most unexpected Chinese Zodiac signs are Dragon, Snake, Pig, Rat, and Tiger.
According to the principles of Chinese astrology, all of these aspects can define a person’s past, present, and future. They can be used to develop robust and accurate predictions of a person’s characteristics and the end.
